Hull
The hull is hand-laid as a sandwich construction with a 10mm thick Divinycell foam
layer. The standard hull comes in white with a single boot-top in dark blue and a
decorative double stripe at the top in the hull, also in dark blue. The hull and
deck are glued together and bolted with an aluminium toe rail track with stainless
steel bolts.
Keel
The keel of the Diamant 2000 has been developed

using the latest techniques. A keel bulb made of 420 kg of hardened lead is
attached to a GRP cement keel fin, which is bolted onto the hull with stainless
steel bolts.
Rudder
The extremely long and narrow rudder is designed with excellent flow properties.
It is supported in the hull with a stainless steel shaft, and
it's shape ensures that
it reacts precisely to rudder deflections, as is to be expected from a regatta boat
of this type.
